Project Planning
The AMNH-DL staff have devised a Planning Checklist and a series
of Working Groups to facilitate the planning and production phases
of the Lang-Chapin Expedition pilot project. They can serve as
effective models in the planning, coordination and execution of
any digital library project by a large institution.

Guides to
Quality in Visual Resource Imaging
http://www.rlg.org/visguides/
The Digital Library Federation and the Research Libraries Group
has created a series of guides to assist museum professionals
in evaluating digital imaging projects. These comprehensive guides
are written for those who have already decided what they will
digitize and what purposes the digital images will serve. They
include project planning, scanner selection, imaging system set-up,
and the resulting digital masters.
Reading List
Consult the Digital
Reference Shelf for a list of books relevant to the planning
and implementation of digital library projects. Clicking on individual
titles in this list will display the catalog record and status
of the item. Use the buttons "next page" and "previous
page" to scroll through the list.
