Please join us for The Spring Lunch: Science, Society, and Our Environment on Tuesday, May 10, as an expert panel explores this year’s topic, The Decade of Ocean Science.
In 2017, the United Nations declared the Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021–2030), which began with a series of set actions and programs developed by international scientists and policymakers aiming to create a multi-national network for ocean research, protection, and solution implementation. The panel will discuss this decade’s most pressing issues of scientific development in ocean deoxygenation, sustainable capital investment, and long-term rehabilitation of the largest ecosystem on Earth.
