In the stellar nursery within the Orion Nebula, young stars are forming before our eyes from a giant cloud of interstellar gas and dust much as the Sun did almost five billion years ago.Shortly after the premiere of Journey to the Stars in the Hayden Planetarium in July, 2009, the consulting company Rockman Et Al performed a summative evaluation. Its goal was to determine the show's effectiveness in conveying key scientific concepts, stimulating audience curiosity, and promoting further inquiry. The evaluation involved visitor surveys and interviews, as well as data from select groups of teachers and students.
